The Role
A very good first experience in an office environment, with engaging work and friendly staff.
Welcomed by team and actively involved in the day to day life.
Very supportive and encouraging.
Some very busy periods, but these were often the most lucrative in terms of personal development
Often dictated by how much responsibility you actively sought
Not directly related to my degree, but still had the opportunity to practise a wide range of technical and social skills
The Company
Fun, but depended greatly upon what team you were working in.
Being the first time the internship had run there were understandably potholes, however I do not believe this would be a problem and has provided the opportunity to develop your own expectations.
regular meetings with members of the financial leadership team and a variety of online training courses, as well the constant input from managers and colleagues
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Being the first running of this internship, the future prospects are (at the time of writing this) currently not well established.
The Culture
Average as the number of placement students is small
Cost of living is quite high due to the proximity of the office to London, but still not as costly as London itself.
There is not much that I am aware of, unless you head into London or Windsor.
