The Role
I was made to feel just like any other member of the team. Everyone there were very friendly and quick to offer help if you needed it.
I could go ask questions whenever I liked, and weekly meetings where a great chance to update my manager and the rest of the team of progress or problems. I was also given a 'buddy' to guide me in the first few months.
Generally I found the work balance very good, your quarterly objectives are set out by yourself and your manager at the beginning and reviewed every quarter, so you do have some input on your workload.
Being a new start this is obviously limited at the beginning, but later on this changed and I was made responsible for several projects that would usually be given to an engineer with more experience.
I received a lot of training whilst there, Schlumberger have a continually training program for employees. I was also given experience in team working, leadership, presenting etc which I put to use in later uni projects.
The Company
