The Role
although certain jobs seemed repetitive there was always an element of diversity in the role i was in
made to feel like a regular employee however you were never quite of the same stature
very supportive and offered great advice
depends how busy you wanted to be. Bread and butter tasks were around 60% of my time by the time i was efficient in my role, yet being proactive (in the hope of being a rehiring candidate) filled the rest of my day
dealt with over 200+ accounts in Europe, Middle-East and Africa with the responsibility of dealing with all samples to such accounts. i was responsible for getting Samples to such accounts to get design wins and ulitmate bring in Millions of dollars to the company.
The Company
obviously every employee has a job to do yet there wasnt very many people under 30 near me and very few females.
was well done in terms of intergrating myself into the company and internship was fluid the whole time i was there
mandatory and extra trainings were held which i took part in, yet they were very generic so it stunted my personal growth
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
only when you work withing the company do you see the vast amount of opportunity for rehire and once an employee, movements between jobs and roles are continuous
The Culture
there were 50+ interns however obviously not all were alligned with regards to social scene. Despite this, it was good to have atleast 50+ people to choose from than 5....
Quite cheap. secured a 6 bed house for £300 a month + bills.
if you like 14 year olds or 34 year olds then Swindon is the place for you.
i tried to apply myself to most things that interested me - so football teams etc
