The Role
Enjoyed working at Intel, I have learned a lot of new skills both technical and non-technical and the atmosphere and the way we are treated is brilliant.
You are integrated in to the team and you are asked your opinion regularly.
When first started there was a 6 week hand over period with the previous intern, this gave time to gave us time to learn. Once the old Intern had left I was assigned a buddy who was around to ask questions.
Some days are really busy but others are more quiet.
Most of the work I was doing seemed to be of value to the company, I wouldn't say it was the most responsibility but at the same time I felt like I was providing useful help to the team.
The Company
You are given the oppurtunity to manage your own time, there are places to go and have fun and then you balance that with real work.
Because there are a lot of Intern's joining Intel each year the process is very good. Once you are made a job offer you are given a date for a open day, this open day is a great oppurtunity to learn more about your job role and to meet others in the team. This carries on right through the internship.
There are a lot of training courses available. All of the soft-skill training courses are compulsory for all Interns but there are also technical courses which your manager can send you on.
