The Role
Great environment and work to get involved with
Very valued as a resource but not always for my skills but more my time in some cases
Regular 1:1s with manager and supervisor
Always had things to do, sometimes overloaded, other times when not so busy, could easily find work to do
Given tasks to own and left to work on them unsupervised, responsible for lots of high value samples + equipment
Not really relevent to degree, but developed many many other skills
The Company
Great, good level of formality
Handover from previous intern was critical, very valuable
Lots of training and development opportunities, however felt unable to take advantage of a lot of them due to the non stop nature of my job role
