The Role
Wasn't good to begin with, but when a few things changed, it got far better. The struggle was with trying to align my skills with what the team needed
Some of them treated me like a collegue, others like a stranger
My first supervisor I don't think understood me very well at all. My second supervisor wasn't very nice at all. My third supervisor was absolutely epic, he really understands me, and really lets me flourish
I always had an underlying project to get on with, but always had some other things to do. I'm rarely doing the same thing on a week by week basis
I'm given a fair amount, its growing every month though
Due to the projects that I ran and my manager approved, I learnt an incredible amount!
The Company
We're all in separate cubes so there wasn't much banter or anything
Yeah, got proper work to do, I'm helping the team
They invested a fair amount in my personal development
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Although this is a great place to work, it doesn't focus on the areas I want to take forward for a career
The Culture
With the small group of interns in my group there was a shocking amount of social stuff
Swindon is on the top of anyones "want to live" list but it has some perks
There are plenty of places to go, but, they're full of degenerates most of the time
There wasn't a lot going on outside of work to be fair
