The Role
Provided an amazing insight into finance and how business works.
Built up trust with the team and later on in placement, was asked to complete very important tasks for them.
Attached me to high exposure projects and always helped out with work when asked.
Ups and downs.
Responsibility was the most important part of this placement, if you can show that you can do the work then you will be trusted with huge amounts.
All skills learnt are a fundamental for success in future.
The Company
Relaxed and sociable atmosphere, obviously people have a lot of work to do though.
Had no issues.
Had training courses and also externally taken Excel courses.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare from home
The Culture
There was around 60 interns as it was the HQ for this side of the world so the social life was better than I imagine many other companies would be.
£200/month rent and cheap(ish) drink considering it's a non-University area.
Swindon isn't the type of place you'd voluntarily go to for a night out, but it is what it is.
Lots of sports clubs and the opportunity to go to Corporate games.
