The Role
Very relaxed work atmosphere and great colleagues
Got on extremely well with the other interns, graduates and supervisors. Good opportunities for socialising with other members of staff
I spoke with my supervisor on a daily basis and was never afraid to approach and ask for help or clarification if needed.
I wasn't bored at all but on the other hand I wasn't overly stressed either. Good work life balance.
I was given a high level of responsibility for achieving my targets. I was responsible for finding the information I required.
Learned a great deal about the oil & gas industry as well as making some great new friends who I will stay in touch with.
The Company
Good bunch of guys, mostly graduates who were a good source of information and general banter
There were IT difficulties initially due to members of staff being on holiday.
Numerous trainee meetings, and oportunities for offshore training
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very good training scheme with opportunities for overseas travel. Excellent personnel development opportunities.
The Culture
Excellent bunch of people. All enjoyed socialising together after work and during lunches.
Aberdeen is not a terribly cheap place to live. Rents can be expensive but nights out are reasonable on the wallet.
Good selection of pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants
Regular activities organised by graduate company network. Nights out and cinema visits.
