About You
Many city firms fail to focus on First Year students and to be offered the opportunity at Linklaters proved to be excellent, it proved to be really enjoyable with other wonderful people also on the scheme, as well as fantastic events such as a quiz night organised by Graduate Recruitment.
Linklaters really attempted to make Pathfinder students feel welcome, and I personally felt as though it made me more aware of the culture of the firm, which is friendly and also welcoming.
During shadowing in particular, the one-on-one time with an associate really helps a student gain an insight into the working world as a solicitor. It also enabled all questions that I had to get answered, the associates really made the effort to answer any questions even if the questions were really straightforward. Graduate Recruitment were also extremely friendly and helpful!
In particular, the advice given on applications proved useful as well as the 'Personal Branding' workshop which helped me to identify my own personal brand.
The Company

Linklaters really make an effort to help students feel welcome and through the scheme itself, it is clear that the firm is willing to invest in career progression early on.
Work shadowing in particular helped me understand what work is actually completed in the city firm setting.
I really got an idea of the culture at Linklaters within a short space of time and I will be applying to the Vacation Scheme in the future as a result.
It has reaffirmed my career goals.
Everything Else
Linklaters reimburse travel and also provided overnight accommodation.
We met with various trainees and we were offered with the opportunity to network further during work shadowing.
Excellent quiz organised!
Yes, there is certainly a wealth of opportunity to get involved in various social events as an employee at Linklaters, inculding sports teams.
Definately, it really helped me to gain an understanding from the firm and I believe that any First Year student could really benefit from the exposure.
