The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the tasks and project I was set throughout the internship.
Always given tasks to do to keep me busy and always had help at hand when required.
Weekly 1:1 meetings were useful to catch-up on the previous weeks work and to plan ahead for the following week.
Work levels remained constant throughout the internship and I always had work to do.
Entrusted to research and analyse the competitors within a number of areas for the team's use on a new event concept.
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops at the beginning of my internship as they provided me with a real insight into how new events are conceived. I was also given a chance to present my own views on a regular occasion.
The Company
Very fun atmosphere and the team were always making jokes with each other.
Very structured format. Managers provide you with real responsibility and 1:1 catch-ups on a weekly basis. The mentoring scheme is especially rewarding as you can get help and advice on anything work-related.
Offering the chance at the beginning of the internship to develoop a particular set of skills provides you with a sense of direction throughout the 12 weeks, and the CV training day half-way through was also very useful.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
A handful of interns were offered full-time roles during and after the internship.
The Culture
Interns socialised with each other on a daily basis during office hours and lunch times. Nights out were also planned at the end of every week.
Affordable considering it's based in Central London.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants and night clubs in the vicinity of the work place, so there is always somewhere new to go out and meet up with other interns after work.
Emails from internal comms always kept employees up-to-date with events such as talks and presentations. The interns organised a lab tour as well as two fundraisers.
