The Role
It was difficult to start with, and a little monotonous with having to learn new techniques until I could do them unsupervised, but once that bit's out the way, it gets a whole lot better!
My project fitted in well to everyone else's work so people valued my contributions.
They were always on hand and formally met with weekly to discuss my progress.
I could work largely to my own schedule, but the amount expected of me was usually manageable.
I have done a fair amount of work unsupervised.
They will give me valuable experience when applying for a PhD or simliar.
The Company
Most of the socialising was in breaks!
Brilliant organisation always knew where to go and what to do. Very informaive HR and extremely helpful. They ensured the placement went smoothly
My supervisor initially gave up a lot of time to help me.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The company is having a graduate employment freeze at the moment. But I think in 2013 they will be beginning again
The Culture
We organise a lot of our own events! Will depend who else is on your placement and how fun they are! my bunch were great
Reasonable if you pick the right places. Try sharing that keep the cost low.
Not bad for a small town.
A large number of clubs and societies were available for all.
