About You
The insight day was great. Even if you do not intend to go into this profession, it is still a good idea to consider attending. I walked away with some valuable skills and experiences that have bulked up my CV and given me something to talk about in interviews.
Given that it was just a day, this is very difficult to answer. The recruitment team did make an effort to make sure every team got to know each other quite well, and the recruiters themselves were very welcoming and friendly.
The support offered was unparalleled. Every task we were given, there was always someone supervising, ready to step in and make sure we were on the right track.
The skills have helped me in numerous situations, for example in group exercises and client interviewing.
The Company
The day was very well structured, and although it was from 10 - 6pm, the organisers ensured we had plenty breaks to keep up refreshed.
All the exercises and presentations were lively and interactive. There was a very friendly atmosphere, and I still communicate with some of the people I met at the event!
Before each activity, Ernst and Young gave us important tips in order to succeed.
The client interview and presentation put us under tight time constraints and pressure, and I feel this gave a true indication to the type of work that they do on a day to day basis.
During the numerous tea breaks, I got to talk to many people at the firm and I saw reoccurring traits: friendliness and mutual support.
I would most definitely consider working for Ernst and Young in the future.
Everything Else
All my travel expenses were covered.
Different employees would be brought in in our numerous tea breaks to talk to and get the "scoop" on life at the firm.
The events were short but effective. At the end of the day, I had a very good idea as to who evreyone in the room was and what they were about.
I am sure the information was available, but to be honest I just did not look for it.
I have already pushed many of my friends to attend this event.
