The Role
I had a very good experience with my team and the rest of the bank. I was constantly encouraged to develop my product knowledge and necessary skills to become a good sales person and received constant feedback from my colleagues. I also had the opportunity to do several rotations with other teams which was very interesting and rewarding.
As stated above, I was immediately integrated in the team and invited to social events with the team. Everyone was nice and supportive.
My manager gave me constant feedback and improvement suggestions which I really appreciated. He's a fantastic mentor.
It varied day by day. Some days I was very buys other not at all. But since summer is usually slow for business, I think that was normal.
Not much, but the tasks I was assigned didn't really require any particular level of responsibility. Mostly, I did only internal presentations / research, rarely something for clients.
I certainly will need the newly acquired skills on a daily basis in my new job. I improved my communication skills, my confidence, learned the importance of networking and approaching people without hesitation and obviously to be flexible, quick-minded and hard working.
The Company
The atmosphere was generally good.
Very well organized. HR did a fantastic job!
There was 1 week of training, but I missed that due to university (exams) reasons.
I got a job with the Company exactly in the team / division I wanted!
The Culture
Yes, the intern group was fantastic, we had a lot of fun together. The mix of people was very good, I only met nice and motivated fellow interns. The social networking events were great too.
Fair.
Canary Wharf is not famous for nightlife and clubs, but there are a few good bars there. Besides central London is great for nights out.
Not really, we had one day of Community work and another fun activity for interns, several team drinks and that's it.
