The Role
Good financial rewards and good learning experiences.
The team was task-oriented, which gave little for anything else.
Line manager was really helpful and provided useful directions.
Some days were sparse, whereas others were very productive.
My software changes are currently running in the production environment.
Gained valuable experience in developing in C# and integration with Excel and XML databases.
The Company
Didn't know anyone I sat with apart from my direct team.
Some useful intern events provided structure but the actual work tasks could have possibly been more standardised.
Good first week crash course in the financial sector. With some valuable time to experiment with different technologies during the placement.
Company Parties/Events
Received a job offer which seems very beneficial, but I am continuing my studies instead.
The Culture
Vast majority of interns were borderline social recluses.
Ridiculously expensive.
Odd drink after work, but don't expect anything more.
Intern touch-rugby competition.
