The Role
Support was readily available throughout my placement, at the start I was assigned a mentor which I found useful as I felt I could ask every day questions to as well as receiving lots of support from my manager.
The work load I received was well balanced, if ever I felt I had some spare time there was always more projects I could take on from other people.
I was given a high level or responsibility and felt valued as a member of the team.
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was very friendly and everyone was willing to offer me help if I needed it.
Pre placement the organisation was good and I was kept up to date.
I felt the company invested lots of time and money in training me, they put me on a 3 week CAD course which will be very beneficial to me in future.
Flexi Time
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Job prospects in the future are very promising, I have an interview for the grad scheme before I leave the placement so will know before I go back to university whether I have a job with the company or not.
The Culture
I lived with 4 other placement students, and there are lots of graduates around so the nightlife/social seen was really good.
The cost of living in the area was good however the cost of socialising was quite expensive.
The nightlife was great, I went out with the other undergrad/grads most weekends.
I think opportunities to get involved were dependant on the department you were placed in.
