The Role
JLR are supportive from start to finish and provide a very wide range of training all of which are tailored to your professional development. They are always keen for you to expand on your placement and have no issue with allowing 'placements' with other areas of the business if requested.
I was made to feel very welcome into the team and was introduced to each member on my first day
My manager, though very busy, was always open to listen to issues that I had and was very proactive in arranging me a placement for the final 2 months at the company
Work levels varied massively due to the type of project work that the department undertook. Some days I would be very busy with supplier visits and meetings while others were not so busy doing CAD work.
I was assigned several of my own projects that were my responsibility. However I always had a supervisor to ask for advice on any aspect of my work
The main aspect in my development with the company was interaction with people in a business environment. I was given opportunities to interact and work with members of the company at senior management level and beyond. My role also allowed for me to be CAD trained by the company on the automotive standard CAD package.
The Company
The atmosphere was generally very good, at gateway times the office are all stressed!
Open contact with the HR management at all times to discuss any issues. Always willing to help you to progress in whatever career path you want within the company
There was no limit on the training I could apply to do, including a 3 week intensive CAD course
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
The 12 month placement gives you a massive advantage for permanent graduate positions
The Culture

Lived in Leamington Spa, the nightlife was quiet over the summer but picked up again when the Warwick university students came back
There are many sports clubs in the area, i joined a local rugby club for the season
