The Role
You are never going to be seen as just a placement student
The more responsibility you want the more you will be given
Invaluable experience
The Company
Lots of training available - take advantage of this, will look great on your CV!
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There is not a graduate programme but there is the chance to extend your placement contract or apply for a job in the future
The Culture
There are a lot of placement students in reading and inter-company bar crawls are arranged. This is great for getting to know other placement students. There is also an induction with a night out planned for everyone to get to know each other.
I would not say it was cheap but it was affordable and there are plenty of places to go to eat that are not too expensive
The nightlife in Bracknell is not great but nights in Reading are plenty of fun!
There are some extra opportunities such as working with charities, but this is definitely an area that could be improved
