The Role
I have really enjoyed working for Panasonic. The Ethos that the company holds is really reflected on how they treat their students.
I was never treated as a student in my role. I was the centre of communication for my team and was always reminded how much they rely on the student and valued my presence in the team.
Support was given in several managerial areas throughout the team throughout my time at Panasonic
I was often very busy on a day to day basis and at times struggled. However, it has really taught me how to balance such a large work load and feel it has given me much more experience to take away from my placement than I ever expected.
Although I did not make a large amount of final decisions, I was often asked for my opinion and this was listened to on a regular basis. I was trusted on several occasions to make decisions and a large amount of responsibility was placed on me for events planning and distribution and design of promotional material in particular.
I believe my placement has widely broadened my skills for the future. It has also given me so many more experiences to talk about within a future job interview. Extra training courses that Panasonic offer have boosted my confidence in areas and look good on my CV.
The Company
Most of the time, everyone got on really well and the office generally has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Really well.
They were keen for me to try new things, book onto training courses and work with me on anything I was struggling with.

they don't offer a grad scheme but if they liked you and a job comes up that you like - it is taken into consideration that you have worked for the company before.
The Culture
We all really got on - socialised outside of work a lot.
Reading student nights are pretty cheap.
It was good.
Not many activities were arranged for us - this was mainly done by the students. They do organise a night out and put you up in a hotel before you start so you can get to know the other students a bit before starting.
