    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Good mixture of informed talks and more fun activities to get a first hand approach of investment banking.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All of the staff are friendly. Recruitment team were sometimes focused on one or two individuals within the group rather than checking up on everyone.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Good information from the recruitment team with helpful information packs.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not so much in the degree, but I now know a lot more about the divisions in an investment bank, which will help me to choose a potential working department in the future.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Good. Maybe a few too many talks?

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The students I was with on the programme were brilliant - not one person i would say that I visibly dislike.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was only a 3 day insight, so not much time to properly get to grips with the workings of the bank. Useful nevertheless.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Particularly from the 2 hours work shadowing you get to partake in.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Undoubtedly. Unlike the stereotype of a typical banker, everybody was friendly and there was plenty of 'banter' per say.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I'm definitely interested!

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Only 3 days so I can't really complain!

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, this was undoubtedly the best part of the programme. Several networking events, and the more informal settings of these (drinks evening/bowling) helped to have a real conversation and get to know the person, rather than asking the genetic questions that everyone else seems to ask.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • We went bowling! Great fun. Also had coffee whilst shadowing a guy in Sales and Trading and a networking drinks event on the first day.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Canary Wharf offers an unbelievable amount of services you never knew existed, including an enormous underground shopping centre. Citi also has a gym and many other facilities that the employees can make use of.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • YES!

    4/5
