About You
Good mixture of informed talks and more fun activities to get a first hand approach of investment banking.
All of the staff are friendly. Recruitment team were sometimes focused on one or two individuals within the group rather than checking up on everyone.
Good information from the recruitment team with helpful information packs.
Not so much in the degree, but I now know a lot more about the divisions in an investment bank, which will help me to choose a potential working department in the future.
The Company
Good. Maybe a few too many talks?
The students I was with on the programme were brilliant - not one person i would say that I visibly dislike.
It was only a 3 day insight, so not much time to properly get to grips with the workings of the bank. Useful nevertheless.
Particularly from the 2 hours work shadowing you get to partake in.
Undoubtedly. Unlike the stereotype of a typical banker, everybody was friendly and there was plenty of 'banter' per say.
I'm definitely interested!
Everything Else
Only 3 days so I can't really complain!
Yes, this was undoubtedly the best part of the programme. Several networking events, and the more informal settings of these (drinks evening/bowling) helped to have a real conversation and get to know the person, rather than asking the genetic questions that everyone else seems to ask.
We went bowling! Great fun. Also had coffee whilst shadowing a guy in Sales and Trading and a networking drinks event on the first day.
Canary Wharf offers an unbelievable amount of services you never knew existed, including an enormous underground shopping centre. Citi also has a gym and many other facilities that the employees can make use of.
YES!
