The Role
My internship at CRUK has been such a great experience and has led to a 6 month contract with my team. Everyone was so welcoming and it was good to experience how such a large charity operates.
I really felt as though CRUK cared about the quality of our experience, and that they wanted us to gain valuable skills and advice from it.
I was supported at all times and never felt under too much presssure
The internship picked up pace as it progressed.
I was given enough responsibility but not too much that I felt under pressure
I gained valuable tips and advice regarding CVs and cover letters, as well as skills learnt from working within my team which have helped me to gain confidence in my abilities and have provided me with real examples to use in interviews.
The Company
The working atmosphere was great, everyone was motivated and enthusiastic
There was the opportunity to attend training workshops as well as CV training days
Subsidised Canteen
I got a role within my team on a 6 month contract
The Culture
All the other interns were really sociable and everyone got on so well. It was nice to know that you would see a friendly and familiar face wherever you went.
It wasn't too bad as I lived at home
Loads of volunteering opportunities
