    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Really good fun, a very informative program which I'd definitely recommend.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Very valued, all of the employees were friendly and welcoming, and since my name had been learnt before I got there, I felt immediately valued.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I received plenty of guidance. As the program was tailored for people who know they want to go into investment banking, but are unaware of the specific area which they would like to specialise, it was packed full of support.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Since this has only been an insight progam, and I only completed it last week, I don't know its impact yet.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It is clear that an awful lot of planning went into the creation of this program. It ran extremely smoothly and was perfectly tailored for its purpose.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It was great fun, especially the networking events.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I believe that Citi invested a large amount of time into our development with respect to understanding about the more specific areas of the bank - serving the purpose of the insight program.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I had extensive work shadowing over the 3 days, and was in the heart of the business for a number of significant news releases and thus experienced the market movement first hand during those times. Through this I was made well aware of what it would be like to carry a full time position at Citi.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Since Citi has such a vast global network, it doesn't have so much of a single culture as a collaboration of cultures from its global involvement.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Rather than helping me dcide, it reinforced my decision on the career in investment banking that I came to the program wanting.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • All travel expenses were reimbursed, as well as free accomodation for the duration of the program.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • On both of the evenings we attended networking events. They were great fun.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Really good, I have made a number of key contacts within the business from the networking events.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Given that CIti employees were present at the networking events, it is clear that there are out-of-work opportunities for employees at Citi

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • For a first year this is the best possible Program you could choose. Not only is Citi one of the most widely respected and valued investment banks both from their employees and their customers, but getting a placement such as this in yr1 of uni puts you well ahead of the crowd.

    5/5
