About You
I loved the insight; I got to meet a lot of friendly people and learn about an institution that has an incredible global reach and plenty of opportunities to develop one's career.
The HR people were fantastic in getting to know us all by names and making us feel welcome.
If we ever needed any help with anything there was always somebody to guide us in the right direction.
I do Economics and Finance so I got to see a lot of textbook knowledge be applied in real-life situations. This was a fantastic experience and will aid me in my revision for exams.
The Company
Very well structured, there was never a moment where we didn't know what was going on. Lunch was always linked in with networking sessions which was great.
Very positive, lively and friendly. We got up in a lovely hotel if we needed accommodation so there were good vibes between everybody during the 3 days.
They put us up in a hotel for a start which is a great sign that they wanted us there at the programme. They also gave us quality C.V. and interview skills sessions, as well as a 'learning to read the FT times' session which has proved invaluable.
The extensive networking opportunities allowed me to understand what it would be like to gain a full-time position at Citi.
Again, the interaction between employees and managers gave off a positive culture that is always looking to excel and achieve.
It was very applicable to the many financial services that Citi provide.
Everything Else
Every lunch/evening and throughout the day there was always opportunities to network with analysts, associates and directors.
We went bowling one evening where we were able to network in a more informal atmosphere with employees of Citi.
Perfect insight into financial services and Citi who provide a wide range of products and services. You will find that by the end of the week you have a good understanding about how a big financial institution like Citi works, and where you think your career path might lie.
