About You
Got to meet some really ambitous, hardworking individuals. There was a right balance between talks and workshops.
I felt really valued throughout the week. UBS really try to "nurture" talent and this was evident in the way the representatives interacted with us and supported us.
Huge amount of support. Encouraged us to ask lots of questions.
The workshops and talks are designed to develop skills that will be needed in other jobs eg)presentation, collaboration etc.
The Company
very well. we were handed a booklet with succint details on what we would be doing and at what times.
Really fun, informative and insightful.
feedback is provided on your performance on certain tasks. This is extremely useful forr personal development
the 3-4 hours work shadowing helped me understand what it would be like to work at UBS.
This was done through the different speakers throughout the event. They were approachable and put a strong emphasis on collaboration and feedback being core to company.
the whole experience was very helpful in this sense.
Everything Else
There was an option of accommodation and transport expenses paid if one lived outside the M25
All the time and this was encouraged through speed networking and networking lunches.
UBS organised a social event for us midweek which really helped us get to know eachother in a more informal setting
We were told about UBS initiatives and what volunteering opportunities staff have.
Even if you don't think a career in investment banking is for you, it is worthwhile just seeing how such a global company operates.
