    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed it very much, it provided me with a very good insight to the bank

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All the business reps we meet were supportive, helpful, friendly and eager to talk to us. And of course HR were great!

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Everything was clearly explained to us - we had a detailed schedule of the 3 days we spent at Citi.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The information was more relevant to a career in the bank and very useful if you are considering banking and a summer internship at Citi.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured, we fit in everything that was needed into only 3 days without feeling like the days were too packed and intense.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was fast paced, but still friendly and inclusive.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had an interview skills session and a 'How to Read the FT' session, both of which were very useful.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There were a lot of panels in which we got to ask questions about everyday life in the firm. Then the one-on-one work shadowing was excellent as you got to go onto the different floors, meet different teams, see how teams, offices, and days are structured and ask all your silly questions as well.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • As mentioned above, being able to go onto the floors and see how the business was run really helped us to get an insight into the company culture and ethos.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It made me certain I wanted to apply for the internship next summer, and hopefully get a full time job there when I graduate.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • This is an unpaid week, however travel costs are reimbursed, and if you live outside of London, they will put you up in a very posh hotel :)

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Plenty. We did 1-on-1 work shadowing as well as a tour of the trading floor with a trader. Then the two evenings we had drinks and bowling with business reps.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • One of the nights they took us to All Stars bowling lane where there were loads of business reps from all different divisions available to talk to. They hired the private lanes, and there were free drinks and canapes available. Lots of fun.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not too much, although within individual teams, they seem to organise their own activities and nights out.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • For sure! Excellent opportunity and you can get fast tracked to a AC for the summer internship if you do well at the Insight Week.

    5/5
