About You
Fulfilled my aim of finding out more about the business and their specialist areas.
Everyone in which I had contact with treated me with respect and they were willing to spend their time with you.
A lot of guidance regarding future applications and general guidance from workers on which department may be suitable personally.
We played some very enjoyable business games, (competitive as always) which did relate to my actuarial studies.
The Company
Followed a well prepared timetable which was consistently followed.
Very positive - did give an impression that Towers Watson would definitely be a firm that I would love to work for.
There were probably 25-30 individuals so it wasn't really specifically tailored, but they were more than willing to answer questions.
It gave a real in sight into the firm and more specifically into actuarial, investment and rewards consulting!
There were slides detailing the mentality and ethos of the company. I think simply talking to staff, one could grasp the positive nature of the business.
Developed a real understanding into rewards consulting as I didn't really know what that meant. Helped me personally to decide between investment and actuarial consulting.
Everything Else
Reimbursed expenses to the value of £75.
Throughout the day and during lunch we met a range of individuals from recent graduates who had taken up roles to more experienced staff.
Everyone mingled very well!
Did state about informal get togethers - such as a team having a bonding dinner in China town, to more typical things such as sports teams.
Provided as much of an insight that anyone could have hoped for in a day! Although one will definitely have to eat their weetabix - it was a fully packed day.
