About You
It was a really fun and worthwhile experience.
There was a lot of investment in us. Several senior employees took time out of their day to speak to the group, in addition to more junior staff such as recent graduates.
There were plenty of opportunities to speak to both HR and representatives from different business lines.
We had a wide range of skills coaching sessions. I found the help on public speaking particularly useful, as this was something I was not confident about before the programme. At the end of the week we had to give a group presentation, and I actually really enjoyed this.
The Company
Most of the time it ran very smoothly. There were many different sessions each day, although occasionally I felt there were a few too many presentations in a row.
It was a very positive environment, most people were friendly and easy to talk to. To be honest, I was expecting the other interns to be only focused on their own ambitions, but most weren't like this and we got on well as a group.
See previous comments.
There were plenty of information sessions about BoAML, and obviously you can pick up a lot just speaking to people and seeing the office environment.
Very useful, I think for many people it highlighted that there was more to banking than just trading and M&A.
Everything Else
It must of cost them a fortune to put this on, literally everything was paid for.
We had drinks on one night and dinner on another, in addition to all the other networking/work shadowing.
There seems to be lots of opportunity for volunteering, sports, diversity groups etc.
Totally.
