About You
It was a really fun week, and a really valuable experience.
All the team tried hard to include me from the directors to graduates. The structure of the firm makes it easy for an insight graduate to slot in to the system and feel valued.
Great effort was made throughout the process to get students to interact with each other and with members of the Savills team. Events were well organised and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Although being a non-cognate student I was able to pick up on tasks and terminology quickly with the guidance of my mentor.
The Company
It was carefully thought out and gave a good scope and varied experience.
All members of staff were enthusiastic and welcoming.
It was a short experience therefore training was limited although the staff tried hard to help me get to grips with the basics.
The experience was very varied and fun, I like to think that a job with the company would be a similar experience.
During morning talks I began to get to grips with the company structure and culture.
The content was great as each morning we had a departmental talk which allowed us to see which each section of the company does on a day to day basis, allowing us to see which sections would be best suited to our individual strengths.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for travel expenses of up to £150.
Yes two evenings we had 'networking drinks' and one afternoon we had a 'meet and greet lunch' with fee earners. These events allowed us to network with even the most senior members of staff, a valuable opportunity.
They were well organised.
I hoped to find out more but this maybe due to a lack of initiative on my part. Im sure that on a longer stint with the company I would be able to experience some of the sporting opportunities.
This experience was invaluable for anyone interested in the property profession.
