About You
Certainly had an immense amount of fun in during my time on the programme - looking back, I now wish it would have been even longer!
For first years, I feel that we were very valued despite the fact that UBS had selected us purely on potential. The HR and staff who took time out to play a part in the programme were incredibly patient with us.
A lot of useful CV and general employment tips were given on top of course in depth info on how to get into a top tier firm such as UBS.
Admittedly, finance is not a major part of my degree however it has given me perspective on where I want to be when I graduate.
The Company
In my opinion it was well organised from the start, however I did feel that we were quite busy at times and it would have been better for us to have more time to take in what we had just learnt rather that going to networking all the time.
I thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other who took part - all of who seemed to be ambitious individuals like myself.
A great deal I felt, they were fully committed to answering any questions we had concerning how the industry/firm functioned regardless of whether it was a basic question.
Reaffirmed my belief that there really is a driven, work hard play hard attitude at the firm. It would be a place I would enjoy working.
As alluded to above, a general sense of the culture was inevitable after spending time in that environment - it was a great atmosphere.
Helped me realise where to focus my career aspirations/future efforts as well as inspired me further to succeed in joining the industry.

There really were plenty of chances to speak with UBS throughout the few days, at intervals as well as at specific networking sessions - almost too many!
I liked being able to speak to a couple of MDs to get a different perspective on certain aspects and it was handy to be able to ask analyst through to director all under one roof
Depending on your workload, there seemed to plenty to do outside of work, collectively as part of a UBS group or individually.
Absolutely, a genuine chance to get a taste for the financial industry and see if it is something for you. I honestly would not have minded if it was longer!
