About You
Quite good, it provided a good insight into the industry as well as revealed some of the secrets behind getting in the door at a place like Citi
I really found that everyone was treated with respect and almost felt a part of the 'family' even though that we were part of a spring week
We received so much useful guidance and it truly felt that they wanted those on the programme to become a part of Citi in the future.
Not directly applicable to my degree course, however I definitely think that it will serve as important experience in terms of moving towards applying for a job.
The Company
Well-timetabled. We were able to really explore areas (divisions) of Citi that we are interested in - great to dig deeper into how a particular service line functioned.
A great mix of people, I knew it was going to be an enjoyable time from day one. I would say that some people were more 'into it' than others.
They put a lot of effort into instilling the values and beliefs of the company so that we were in a better place to decide whether this would be a place we could see ourselves in the future.
Already touched on above. Through the presentations and networking with the staff, I was able to piece together a genuine view of how Citi operates.
It was insightful to be amongst the staff for the duration of the programme, as that was prime opportunity to immerse yourself into their environment.
It essentially allowed me to confirm that the financial services is a sector that I will seriously consider when looking for a job.
Everything Else
This really showed that the firm put a lot into hosting us.
They did a stellar job of allowing us to speak to personnel from almost all divisions as well as the entire spectrum of staff in terms of hierachy.
Found them to be fun and informative - mostly importantly, very relaxed. I did feel that there were some people purely asking questions for the sake of asking a particular question.
Apparently the workload is quite heavy during certain stretches (expected), so the amount of 'extracurriculars' is really dependent on that.
Certainly - Citi stuck out to me as an honest firm that is both capable and well diversified - assets in the current economic climate.
