About You
There was a huge diversity of work, the supervisors really made an effort to give interesting work. Unlike most placements, I did no proof reading or filing.
Hugely so, I was introduced to everyone in the department, and individuals sent me work that they thought I would find both interesting and was representative of the work they do daily.
My supervisor's door was always open and she regularly checked up on me to see that I had enough work and knew what I was doing.
It assured me that law was the right career for me, and that Simmons & Simmons was a company I would enjoy working for as the culture was very friendly.
The Company
Very well structured, and everyone in the department was aware of our timetables and set us work accordingly.
Brilliant, very friendly, and it was evident that everyone I worked with loved their job.
A lot, they made extra effort to ensure we were familiar with the application process.
There was a very good chunk of time available to work in that way that we would have done had we been full time employees. We were fully integrated into the departments.
Trainees and associates attended social events and were very open with their views about the firm (which were very honest, and mostly good!)
It made me realise that I most definitely want to go into law. The range of activities they provided for us ensured this.
Everything Else
£250 was definitely fair and covered all my expenses with a bit left over.
Trainees and associates attended social events and were very open with their views about the firm (which were very honest, and mostly good!)
All employees were very honest with their answers to any questions, and employees from every level in the firm attended.
It's difficult to provide sport through a London firm, but they definitely made other opportunities available to compensate.
Most definitely, very worthwhile and a lovely atmosphere.
