About You
I really enjoyed my week at Savills, it gave me a great insight into the company. I learned a lot about the day to day work that goes on and also reiterated my desire to pursue my career with them.
Everyone at Savills were very kind and helpful towards me, and were very happy to help with any problems or questions that I had.
I received fantastic guidance and support during the insight. The company were very happy to help.
The skills and information I received during the insight will be very beneficial during the progression of my studies. I learned a lot about what goes on and the day to day running's within the company which will be invaluable to me.
The Company
The insight was very well structured during the week it covered all aspects of the company and allowed the insight students to meet directors and current graduates from Savills.
The general atmosphere during the week was very relaxed and friendly with Savills arranging various events during the week including lunch and networking drinks with current graduates and directors.
They were very helpful in showing interest and giving advice on my career development and also offered me the chance to apply for more work experience with the company.
It gave me a great insight into the day to day workings of the company through shadowing my mentor who was a current graduate with Savills which has encouraged me further to pursue a career in building surveying.
It helped me to understand how important socialising and having great people skills were in dealing with fellow employees, other companies and clients.
It gave me great insight into the property market as a whole, I understand that there is still so much to learn and this has encouraged me to learn more.
Everything Else
Traveling down from Scotland I had to pay for a hotel for 5 nights stay and also for traveling costs via train and flights to and from London. I will be reimbursed expenses for travel costs around London via the tube.
Savills arranged several events during the week including lunch with directors of the company and networking drinks with current graduates.
It was great to get to speak to current employees to find out more about the company and get first hand feedback of their personal progression from their studies into employment with Savills.
I found out that there are numerous social activities available to employees outside of work.
I would absolutely recommend this insight scheme to a friend, it was a great opportunity and invaluable experience to gain first hand experience of working for a big property company like Savills in London.
