About You
It provided an excellent introduction to the firm.
Every employee I met appreciated the nature of the Vacation Scheme and made a concerted effort to make me feel part of the firm.
I received a significant amount of support from trainees, fee earners and particularly from the Graduate Recruitment team.
I learnt a number of skills that I will be able to develop further. For example, I gained an understanding of the importance for a solicitor to have extensive knowledge of the market its client operates in, in order to offer the best possible legal advice.
The Company
The Vacation Scheme was extremely well structured, with a number of talks and events organised alongside my work in the department.
The firm made me feel extremely welcome and really tried to a realistic experience of life as a trainee. Further, the Graduate Recruitment team organised a number of social events which enabled me to become more comfortable with my fellow Vacation Schemers and also with a number of trainees.
Everything Else
£250 p/w
There were a number of opportunities to meet partners, associates and trainees during my time at the firm.
The events were extremely well organised and offered a relaxed atmosphere in which to speak to members of the firm.
I had the opportunity to play for the firm's football team and there were also a number of pro bono opportunities.
It was a fantastic two weeks and I recommend this Scheme to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in law.
