About You
In general the insight was interesting and informative. At times it did feel like some of the speakers were repeating what we had already heard, though.
Everyone on the insight was made to feel valued. We were spoken to by some very senior figures, and all of the graduates that we met were very accomodating.
We were given two full days (out of 5) of worthwhile and useful training and were helped enormously by the graduates that we were on rotations with
We learned a lot about how RBS and the banking system in general works. If I were to go on to banking this week would form the basis of knowledge for my whole career.
The Company
Our days were always full with work, though were not so full that it became difficult to concentrate on what we were doing. It was well organised, though I do think that some activities were a little drawn out.
At times i thought the atmosphere was a little serious, though I do think this was because of the other interns, not the RBS employees who were much more relaxed and enabled much more enjoyment.
Two out the five days was spent on training, so this was a significant investment in the interns personal development. Also the rotations were mainly focused on learning about the business which was useful.
The graduate employees of RBS gave an excellent insight into everyday life with RBS which was particularly useful.
Talking with the employees of RBS, in particular those who had worked in other banks previously, gave a good insight into the culture of the company.
Yes I think it has informed me not only about RBS but the banking industry in general.
Everything Else
RBS paid travel expenses and provided excellent accommodation for the duration.
There we social events but these were mainly based with the other interns. All of the people we shadowed did encourage us to keep in touch however.

Yes we did a CSR event which was useful.
It was very informative and I am certainly glad that I did it so I would definitely reccommend it to a friend.
