The Role
Great working environment but sometimes work was quite monotonous.
Treated very well and made to feel like an important member of the team.
Everyone was approachable to ask for help but also left me enough space to get on with my work.
Varied quite a lot but never felt overworked or a waste of space.
Given a good deal of responsibility in the administrative tasks that we were in charge of; perhaps would have liked to experienced some responsibility in legal work.
Very useful to experience life in the workplace and learn invaluable interpersonal skills. Learned the importance of good communication whilst working in a team but also conscientiousness whilst working on tasks.
The Company
Good amount of fun but never distracting; everyone was really friendly.
We had a very clear role in the department; well organised.
Thorough training week to begin with all the training we needed to perform the job. Would have perhaps liked some legal training.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Might think about coming back; if I decided on a career as a commercial solicitor I would definitely consider Pinsent Masons.
The Culture
Got on well with everyone on the Gap Year Scheme and also with trainees. Made to feel part of the group with trainees which was good.
Not bad for a city centre. Lived at home so did not experience rent etc.
Plenty of nightlife in Birmingham.
Wasn't able to take advantage of sporting activities due to injury but there was plenty to do had I been able to.
