About You
Everything was brilliantly organised.
The people were very friendly and welcoming.
There was always someone to provide further support and guidance.
I learned a lot about pitching and negotiation. My communication skills were challenged and further developed.
The Company
Everything was well structured and seamlessly organised.
The general atmosphere was one of friendliness and inclusiveness.
The organisation of the Open Day must've been a substantial expense, and, as I mentioned above, everything was perfectly organised. The attendees felt comfortable and welcome.
I have had a chat with one of the partners in the Litigation Department and this conversation (alongside the whole event) was exceptionally helpful and insightful. I would love to have a chance to work for Baker & McKenzie.
The company culture is one of diversity and inclusiveness. And these not just buzz words, but the reality as I saw it and experienced it myself on this occasion.
Everything Else
All my travel expenses were reimbursed.
During the lunch break I had a chance to speak with one of the partners and a few trainees (some of whom I already knew from other industry events such as City Law Live). Those few conversations were very helpful and insightful.
The networking opportunities were many and varied. A number of trainees spoke at length about their training contract seats experience, about their careers development, about the recruitment process they went through to reach successfully their goal of becoming a trainee with Baker & McKanzie.
Yes. Some of the trainees spoke about different pro bono activities that they had done alongside their busy schedules and that had brought them satisfaction and further professional experience.
Absolutely. Having a chance to be invited for an Open Day with Baker & McKenzie is definitely an honour.
