About You
Great insight into the five teams in group function.
RBS came across as a firm who very strongly value their employees.
Never left unsure as to what I was meant to be doing. Having a mentor on the assignment was a big plus.
More of an insight into what the functions did than learning skills.
The Company
Good mix of talks and more hands on work.
Both the other students on the insight and current RBS employees were really friendly and down to earth, making for a great atmosphere during the Spring Week.
Not so much training as providing an insight, however this was done strongly.
Good insight both into the firm and the various roles available.
Understand in far more depth the culture that exists at RBS following the onset of the financial crisis.
Everything Else
No travel or accommodation expenses as I live inside the M25; would have been nice to have travel expenses paid.
Lots, for example whilst work shadowing, over lunches and in the context of more informal and laid back networking drinks
Drinks on the Monday and Friday evenings; more than this might have been too much.
A little, though only via talking to current employees.
Yes if there was an existing interest in group functions; would definitely recommend RBS.
