The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time on my placement, i have developed unlimited skills and i feel i have improved as a person as well as a business woman
I felt valued as employees and this is evidenced by the responsibility i was given, such as managing projects and people. i also was asked to stay on with the company at the end of my placement which also helped
My manager was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to ensure i was comfortable in the work i was doing. this was mirrored by all aspects of the management at Accenture
at the start of my placement i had little work to carry on with and at times during i had too much work on, however, the whole placement balanced out
i was asked to manage teams and projects from an early stage
i cannot recommend a placement more for the added value you get in terms of skills, the emails and constant communication you are involved in enables you to grow from the start and the new experiences ensure that you have a wide range of skills
The Company
There were always buffets, nights out and networking events to ensure that the work life was a comfortable one. everyone was extremely friendly whilst working towards the same targets
Accenture were very well informed and organised when i arrived, however this was not the case with United Utilities as communication could have been better to inform people of who i was and why i was there.
My manager ensured that i received all benefits the same as other Accenture employees, i also received all training sessions and offsite development days
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
i have already applied for the Accenture graduate scheme
The Culture
I was the only placement student working on this contract!
i noticed no difference in cost as living as i was able to live at home
home town so have experienced the nightlife before
networking events, nights out, meals and parties ensured that i was busy outside of work
