About You
The insight was interesting to the extent that we had a very tight schedule, which involved many talks,work-shadowing and group project work.
All employees that came and gave talks were very helpful. They considered our opinions and questions and were always available to answer questions.
A lof of support was given as well as guidance. Whenever we had free time we could do more work-shadowing or just meet up with employees working in the different sub-divisions.
Doing a business management degree, the information was very interesting. I understood a braoder range of financial vocabulary. The skills of being punctual or working in a team were useful.
The Company
Very well structured. Our schedule was very tight. We always had something to do whether it was talks or group work or even meeting up with our buddy.
I was expecting the atmoshphere to be very competitive. However, this wasn't the case. A lot of the interns were very friendly. There is always someone that you will not get on with but I pretty much goton with everyone. Our project sponsors, buddies and the employees we work-shadowed were all very relaxed even though they had a busy day. They always took the time to explain things we may have not nderstood.
Employees of GS are very passionate about what they do. If it's not something that appeals to you, then there is no way you will survive. Long hours and teamwork and key things to remember when working there.
Everything Else
Plenty of opportunities.
Networking is a very important part of GS'sculture.
