About You
Most events that took place during the insight week were very enjoyable.
Everyone was very helpful and I was able to ask any questions I had.
The Company
The insight week was very well structured, with a time table given to us at the beginning of the week for each day.
The atmosphere during the insight week was good as the RBS employees were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere among the students was good as well, however, it was a little competitive as we were being assessed throughout the week.
There was always someone to guide us throughout the day or to answer any questions.
It helped a lot, as it was possible to look into several different sections of the bank.
The vast majority of the employees I met were very friendly and approachable. This gave me the impression that RBS has a very open and friendly culture.
After the spring week I now know which section of the bank interest me the most. (It wasn't just a day, it was five days)
Everything Else
RBS provided accommodation for students from outside of London and reimbursed travel and meal expenses to a reasonable extent.
There were several networking drinks and lunches. The job shadowing sessions were a great opportunity for meeting other employees as well.
They were organised as drinks or lunches and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
This was an interesting and enjoyable week and I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in working for a bank.
