The Role
The work I underwent on my placement was enjoyable and I really felt like a part of the team. There are also a lot of other students at Bosch so the social aspect is really good too!
Was treated like a permanent employee and not just as intern.
Whenever I needed guidance, managers and colleagues were always around to help me. They appreciated the fact that interns are new to working and the marketing industry so were more than happy to help interns and offer additional guidance.
There was never a day when I was just sitting at my desk bored and not knowing what to do. I always had stuff to be doing and targets to strive towards.
I was surprised at how much responsibility I was given from day 1. There were some tasks that only I was doing so therefore I felt like a real part of the team and extremely valued.
I have learnt how to apply all of the theories I learnt at university into real life situations.
The Company
The team I worked within are extremely friendly and always up for a laugh. However, they understood that professionalism is important so when work needed to be done we all buckled down and worked together.
Very well organised. There was a 2 week handover from my predecessor who taught me everything that I needed to know.
There were training courses available that I could have attended, however I didnt really get involved in this.

Quite a few of the managers who work at Robert Bosch at the moment were students a few years before.
The Culture
The social scene amongst all of the placement students at Bosch is very good. There are around 13 students in the power tools division and around 20 more in other departments within the Denham offices. Quite often we will go out on group meals or nights out.
The cost is quite low however quite a lot of the time the interns all ventured into London which can be quite expensive.
Uxbridge is the nearest town to Denham but unfortunately the nightlife here is pretty much non-existent. However, because there is a tube station in Uxbridge London is easily accessible.
Activities outside of work arranged by the company were quite minimal, however, the students took it upon themselves to organise various social outings and nights out quite frequently.
