About You
It was a very good opportunity to get to know how Bank of America Merill Lynch works, and to meet some of the employees.
It was obvious that the Spring Insight Week was a starting point for future internships and graduate roles.
Everything was very well organised and it was always made sure we were in the right place at the right time.
It was an excellent opportunity for networking, improving presentation skills and understanding how an investment bank works.
The Company
It was structured well in that we were always kept busy. However there were a lot of presentations and this sometimes came monotonous. It would have perhaps been more exciting if we'd had more opportunity to shadow others.
Although it was an intense day everyone was really friendly and all the students present were keen to learn as much as possible.
The spring insight week obviously lead to a summer internship and then a graduate role.
We did not do much work shadowing but we could get a general idea of the pace of work from the presentations given by employees.
We learnt about the pace of work, the diversity culture they have and the opportunities for employees.
The presentations were excellently in allowing you to see how each division worked.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimbursed.
We had several networking lunches/drinks, a 'women's breakfast' and a dinner on our last night
As it was for only a week there were not many social opportunities.
We were shown the gym and told about volunteering opportunities.
Yes.
