About You
Gave a very good overview of the bank's culture and a glimpse into what it would be like to work there.
All members of staff were made accessible whether they were an Analyst to Co-CEO and Chairman
Received excellent training and guidance from external trainer and analysts.
Gives my degree a lot more direction, in that I know what I want to do when I have graduated.
The Company
Very well structured. Although we were not allowed much hands on work due to confidentiality and regulation, we were still given projects to work on in teams.
Very laid back and fun, interns arranged dinners and nights out together, beyond the office.
The firm are willing to invest massively in individuals they deem to have potential. They provide on-going training and development opportunities and various mobility programs to allow their employees to progress in their careers.
Gave a very broad insight into the daily tasks of full time analysts, but enticing enough to want a place on the much-coveted summer analyst programme.
We received many talks about the bank's culture and this culture was evident throughout the programme where the employees exemplified it day-to-day.
I met various employees at the bank that had taken different routes into IB and having these people as a contact is really helpful in narrowing down career choices.
Everything Else
Travel, accommodation were all paid. We were also paid for the 2 weeks we spent in the firm.
At least 4 networking events each week allows for a wide network to be established.
Drinks and food were provided at each networking event. One such event was an American-style carnival in that vendors provided popcorn, candy floss and ice-cream.
There are sports teams, different affinity networks and much much more.
Very lucky to have been part of such a programme as I feel my confidence grew as a result and it is great experience for the CV to secure future internships and grad roles.
