The Role
Had a fantastic time and I felt I got on really well with the whole team.
I was given a good level of resposibilty and felt that I was useful and appreciated.
I was constantly pushed by my mentorsd and managers to enagage with as many areas as possible and to carry out tasks that would add me getting a chartered status.
Never a dull moment, I was always busy dealing with something or other.
Considering my student status I was given far more than I dreamt I could have been. I was repsonsible for things that, should they have gone wrong there would have been repurcussions, but fortunatly I was competent and undertook these tasks.
When I graduate the things I have learnt will stand me in excellently for future employment, hopefully with Costain!
The Company
A light hearted and and work orientated atmosphere. We had fun and knew when the work had to be done and when we could have a laugh with each other.
I was sorry to find that the appropriate passes were not organised for me when I arrived. I also felt that the 'buddy' system didnt operate very well.
I was sent on relevant courses and trained to a good standard. However I would have liked to have been sent on more courses.

Look forward to working for Costain in the near future.
The Culture
Superb atmosphere, met other placement students and the team embraced me as their own!
Quite expensive, especially as it was an Airport environment.
Not bad, but that couldn't have been helped by the company.
Golf & Cricket games were organised regularly to take part in as a team.
