About You
The week was really good for getting an insight into law and it was nice to meet other people as well as get some work experience.
I felt very much valued by the graduate recruitment team but slightly less so by my department who were pretty busy.
I received unlimited support from my supervisor.
The skills I developed were good with relation to how to approach applying to the firm next year.
The Company
There was a well planned itinerary for the week.
The atmosphere was pretty friendly.
My supervisor would always take time out to explain difficult areas of law to me.
I was able to see the genuine culture of the firm, including working hours and partner approachability.
This was clear to see after a week but it probably varies from department to department.
The activities were good in helping to understand the day to day tasks of a trainee.
Everything Else
The pay was good but travel expenses were not reimbursed.
There was a speed networking event to meet employees from other departments.
The drinks socials were good and two in five days was a good amount.
To some extent but this was less discussed. When asked, language classes have been revoked but music lessons are still available.
Yes. This is a rare opportunity to do a vac-scheme as a first-year law or penultimate year non-law student.
