The Role
Training for the job role itself was excellent, aswell as training for more general management skills such as time management and planning and prioritisation. External trips to other parts of the businss were brilliant, and had constant support and encouragement to get as much as I could out of my time there.
My team were amazing throughout my time...always encouraging me to do well, and taking an interest in my University course and development into possibly graduate schemes...all while treating me as any other employee in the department and giving me equal opportunities to succeed.
I was given constant support by the Learning and Development team, in getting the best out of my time, whether it be support in my job role, or planning for my future.
I never felt bored, and never had nothing to do. From the start I was involved in interesting and exciting projects, and by the end had the same work load in terms of responsibility, as any other member of the team. The trust from manager to do that, was very motivating.
was given loads of responsibilities during my time, however made sure that I was still able to pick up new things, and learn more about more indepth aspects of the job.
All the training I recieved were skills I can apply in any aspect of my life, and the job role itself and what I learnt from that, is directly related to my course and will give me loads of material which will help torwards my dissertation.
The Company
My team were very hard working, but still knew when to take 5minutes for a coffee and relax. The whole team would go for breakfast and lunch together, and team in the afternoon.
Fantastic! Everything that was planned for us over the year met my expectations, and exceeded them with added dates for external visits.
I was given a full Personal Development Programme, and was invovled in all the team days surrounding this programme, including MBTI testing, and planning for my future.

Company Parties/Events
I wasn't offered a position within the team, however welcomed back any time. I've taken an interest in the graduate scheme John Lewis offer, and will be applying in September.
The Culture
I've made a friend for life with one of the other placement students, and a group of us all got together at the Wairose head office in Bracknell.
I lived with my parents during my placement year, however if I wasn't living with them, I would imagion living around london could be costly. The subsadised canteen helped with food costs, and local bars were very cheap compared with normal London pricing.
Locals bars had a great atmosphere, and every other bar and club in london was only a tube ride away.
There were loads of social clubs to join at work, and also subsidised theatre and concert tickets available.
