About You
I was really pleased with the Insight Day, it was a really worthwhile thing to do. Even though we were always kept busy - the staff were so friendly and the tasks so engaing that everything was enjoyable. I would definately recommend!
All the Ernst & Young staff were really welcoming and friendly. The very fact that many staff were involved and they clearly a lot of time, effort and resources had been put into organizing the day made me feel like all the participants were important to the company.
We had constant guidance in this well structured day and everything was explained clearly. It was easy to as questions to our team leaders. We were given time and space to do our own independent work on which we were each given individual feedback.
The day left me with a great impression of the company and the consulting profession as a whole. Now I can focus on the steps I need to take to ensure a successful application in the future. The individual feeback we got was really detailed and helpful.
The Company
There was never a dull moment and no time was wasted. It was an action packed day and I was very tired by the end of it! I also thought it was really good that they divided us into four smaller groups so that we could benefit from more individual attention.
It was a really friendly atmosphere and not the cold and corporate vibe that I might have expected. the leaders were energetic and funny. I could see that they were enjoying themselves and it gave a really good impression
EY definately showed that undergraduates are important to them. They invsteded a lot of staff, time and resources into making the day a success and I can really appreciate that. The fact that they gave us personal feedback was really excellent too.
It was at the EY offices which are really impressive. We worked with real EY staff so we got a sense of what they were like and they told us lots about how they joined the firm. We had client meetings which was some great on the job experience.
They showed us corporate videos and explained their values and practices. While this will never perfectly mirror reality, I think that the quality of the Insight Day and the staff really gave a great first impression.
I think the day gave me lots of information about EY and generally what are profesional services. Specifically, I now understand the different service lines they offer and I am able to make a more informed decision about which one I would like to apply for in future.
