About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the event. Everybody friendly. Packed two days of presentations and networking.
All staff approachable, easy to talk to. All listened to what we had to say.
All staff were really supportive and there to help if required.
A presentation was given by Judy James - a body language expert. Gave excellent advice on how to sit, stand, give presentations, which I will certainly take away with me for the future. Received a lot of information with what each job position entails and we each had a mock interview with a partner which was really good practice.
The Company
We were given a timetable each which was kept to well.
Atmosphere was brilliant, in the office and at the meal in the evening. All staff very easy to talk to, answered any questions we had. Good laugh with them and the other students. Always had a smile on my face.
We were all helped to improve our presentation and interview skills. Deloitte definitely invested their time in us.
Talking with the staff really helped me understand what they did on a day-to-day basic and their presentations on each role helped gain an insight. However, as we weren't in their actual offices or going to meetings, I didn't feel like I worked for the firm exactly.
Got a really good insight into this, mostly helped after talking with the staff.
Each presentation given about the job positions, helped me clarify which career path I wanted to enter, and to what I was suited to.
Everything Else
Travel costs were reimbursed upto £50.
During the day and at the meal in the evening we were able to network with other employees. The staff also rotated around the tables during the meal which gave us further opportunity to speak to different employees from different areas.
Brilliant. Totally relaxed environment which made it more comfortable to speak to employees about anything on our minds. At the start of the insight day, we had around 30-40minutes networking with other students getting to know each other.
I asked many questions about languages, sports, annual events that are organised by Deloitte that employees are encouraged to get involved with so I had a great insight into this.
Brilliant two days where I took a lot away from it.
