About You
Quite a varied day - initial group exercise with presentation and general slides about future applications.
They certainly respected the participants and were more than willing to answer any questions.
A lot of guidance regarding future applications - general things to avoid, guidance on psychometric tests, etc.
We did carry out a group presentation at the beginning which is always good at developing your presentation skills, also gained advice on general applications which will prove invaluable heading into the future.
The Company
Well organised timetable that was strictly adherred to.
Positive and relaxed, but all there was a hard-working aspect to all of their employees as you would expect.
Invested time regarding future applications to enable us to be successful in the wide range of roles that are available.
We were given tours of each of the departments and listened to employees from a range of departments - audit, tax, consulting, etc which provided a good insight into their work and hours, etc.
Again some slides regarding this, and just listening to the employees gave an insight into the culture of PwC.
Somewhat helpful, although Belfast does not specialise in Actuarial work, so that limited its impact personally.
Everything Else
I believe there were opportunities to claim for long journeys, but since I was in close proximity, this was did not apply to me.
Yes, over lunchtime - we met 4 recent graduates from a range of departments who were more than willing to answer questions.
Again just the recent graduates over lunch. We mainly spent time with the recruitment manager who had a number of slides for us.
We learned about that staff would spend one Friday night each month together, and generally that there are a wide range of activities to get involved in with, such as a staff volunteering day.
Varied day, finished around 4 so wasn't too lengthy or tiring. The information provided was helpful and will prove useful for future applications.
