The Role
Enjoyment varied throughout placement - depended a lot on the project you were put on
Amount of responsibility given to me personally was very high and felt those around me did appreciate my view on how to deal with problems/issues.
Someone was always on hand to give advice.
Work varied depending on project and time to delivery within project. However, there was always something to do if you were proactive
A lot of responsibility given during the placement
Time management and Computer skills (e.g. use of Microsoft Excel) have been vastly improved
The Company
In my personal experience, the atmosphere was quite dull at times. (on both the projects I was on during my placement)
Set up well - someone who had organised the placement was always at hand to help
Could always take extra training when I had time/wanted to
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
From what we were told, promotions can be very quick if you put time and effort in and work hard
The Culture
Yes there was - Intern events were common
London is very expensive. Though if you were on an out of town project - company paid for travel and gave an evening allowance for dinner.
Very good - when in the heart of London there was always something to do after work. Went out with colleagues for drinks a few times and there was always plenty of choice around.
Plenty of clubs and societies to join. I attended talks on Accenture's plans to do with the Emerging world which was very interesting. Others I have spoken to attended dinners arranged by other societies.
