About You
It was a great insight into all areas of front office. There was a good balance between company presentations and interactive case studies and workshops.
Everyone was really friendly and wanted to answer any questions you had.
Not a huge amount of guidance/support was needed as the days and tasks were very structured and clear.
Lots of transferrable skill workshops such as a presentation skills workshop.
The Company
Each day had a clear structure; 4/5 days were focused on one different division of Front Office (IBD, Sales and Trading etc.) so the insight you get about this whole area was great.
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Members of staff were willing to take time out of their day to help you if you needed it.
There were a lot of workshops aimed at developing our knowledge and skills.
I learned more about what each role entailed, which in terms of finding out day to day tasks was great. As we only spent one morning in the company buildings, there wasn't an opportunity to experience the work environment as much as I would have liked.
The company values were emphasised throughout the week.
The spring week motivated me to pursue a career in Investment Banking.
Everything Else
As someone who lives outside of London, this made the spring week very accessible to me.
There was a formal networking evening and a few speed networking events.
There was a networking evening, various speed networking events, however there could have been more as they were short sessions.
There was a mention of employee network groups once in the week.
Was a great learning experience and the opportunity to fast track to a summer internship assessment centre is a great perk.
